Spinner Dolphin at Honokanaiʻa

Description

A spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris) breaks the surface off the coast of Kahoʻolawe, leaping from the turquoise waters of Honokanaiʻa — “the bay of the dolphin.”

This sacred and storied shoreline is part of the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve, where natural and cultural restoration efforts continue to protect both land and sea.
