Wanderlust Incana

Description

The wandering tattler (Tringa incana), known in Hawaiian as ‘Ūlili, makes a solo shoreline stroll look effortless. Built for rock-hopping and wave-dodging, these migratory visitors winter in Hawaiʻi before returning to Alaska to breed. With yellow legs, sharp calls, and constant motion, tattlers live up to their name—alert, vocal, and always on the move.
